For Seattle Software’s first blog we’re going to start with one of ShowGo’s greatest strengths – flexibility. We’re going to begin by looking at Custom Filtering on the Event list.
Often at the beginning of the year a number of ShowGo users come to me looking for a way to intelligently filter the Event list so they only view those events they want to view. After you’ve used ShowGo for a while, you can start to build up quite a few events. Filtering the records in the Event List to make available only the data you want to work with.
You sort data to quickly organize your data and to find the data that you want.
Filtering your data with Trade Show Management Software
You filter data to display only the rows that meet criteria that you specify and hide rows that you do not want displayed, for one or more of the events you want to view. Filtering your data or data manipulation in general, is time saving, and helps tailor your data to your exact needs.
Now that 2012 has begun, you may only want to view those events you’ve for 2012? Let’s get started.
It’s very easy to make this update.
On the Main Form, go to the Event list and click on the ‘Filter’ next to the ‘Start Date’
The Custom Filter form will appear.
If you only want to see events in 2012, select the following:
In the first drop down select: ‘Greater than or equal to’
In the second, enter the date you wish to start with: 1/1/2012
To undo this filter, it’s just as easy. Click on the filter and select ‘All’. Now all your shows will reappear.
Stop searching through years of Events and filter only what’s relevant to you right now. This flexibility in your trade show management software makes ShowGo easy to use and easy learn.
Until next time….
